July 30, 2026 - Amendment Five. Don’t ignore what I feel is the 500 lb. gorilla in the room – the biggest obstacle in many voters’ minds as they consider supporting this amendment on August 4th. As Billy Joel once sang, “It’s a matter of trust.” Do we trust our governor and Republican legislative supermajority to craft a sales tax that both better drives our economy and is equitable to all?
