The local DSA chapter has created a outreach program to help out members of our community that might struggle to keep up with lawn work (the elderly, the disabled, whoever needs it!)

“As a couple over 60 doing the big stuff in our yard has become difficult physically. We heard about this and requested services. The group that arrived was wonderful and did such a great job!” 8/15/26

Hands Off Our Vote: A TOOLKIT FOR ELECTION PROTECTION

We know that Trump and his Big Lie cronies are plotting to do everything they can to undermine our elections in 2026. Whether it’s trying to end mail-in voting, targeting registration programs, blocking vote-counting, even trying to ban states from encouraging people to vote – it’s going to be no-holds-barred from them this year as they try desperately to block free, democratic elections. But we’re very far from powerless – in fact, if we start planning early and work together, we can be a tremendous force to ensure that every eligible voter is able to cast a ballot, that those ballots are counted, and that the election results are honored. Traditionally election protection programs have focused on key swing states where the risk is highest. But this year, Trump is going for wholesale disenfranchisement across the country, so we’re stepping up and launching our biggest program in Indivisible’s history. And even if the elections are secure where you live, you can help protect at-risk voters in targeted areas during rapid-response moments and be a trusted messenger against the flood of disinformation.

Know Your Rights: Federal Agents at the Polls (ACLU)

The freedom to vote is the very foundation of our democracy. Voting is how we secure our civil rights and liberties and help shape our country, state, and town. Every eligible citizen has the right to cast a ballot freely, fairly, and accessibly — without fear of deception or intimidation. As President Trump and his administration’s abuses of power continue, it is all the more important to plan ahead and learn about your rights when voting.
